Kai Greene
Bodybuilders/Fitness Competitors
whose personalities you most admire
Anyone who has the
strength to stay natural despite all of the pressures of
competitive bodybuilding.
Highlight(s) of Career
Winning my IFBB Pro card
at the NPC Team Universe, winning overall at the NPC
Atlantic States - a huge regional non-tested event.
Biggest Disappointment(s) of
Career
There have been a number
of shows where I felt I should have won at least my class
but placed lower, most notably the 2007 NPC Team Universe,
2007 WNBF Pro American, and 1997 & 2001 ANBC United
States.
Best Bodypart
Back
Worst Bodypart
Calves
Favorite Exercise
Anything heavy and
compound, like deadlifts, walking lunges, squats...
Least Favorite Exercise
Bicep curls
Traits you admire most in others
Integrity, humility,
being real with yourself and others.
Traits you admire most in
yourself
The
same as above.
Favorite Movies
Gladiator
Favorite Actor
Depends on the role, but
I thought Mickey Rourke was excellent in The Wrestler
Favorite Band or Performer
Bruce Springsteen
Favorite Food
Sushi
Favorite Cheat Day Treats
During my last diet I
scheduled a cheat meal every Saturday night all the way up
to the contest. For some reason I craved the same meal
every week: One entire "works" pan pizza from Pizza Hut,
followed my a mint chocolate chip ice cream cone.
Favorite Automobile
I have a Mini Cooper S
right now which is a blast to drive, but sometimes I hear
I look funny because it is so small.
Idea of a Perfect Vacation
I've never been to the
south pacific, but that looks fun.
Favorite TV Program(s)
I watch HGTV,
Discovery Channel, and the Colbert Report.
What would you be doing if you
weren't a Bodybuilder?
I'd compete in some other
individual challenge like running, mountain biking, or
golf.
Long Term Bodybuilding Ambitions
I've reached my
bodybuilding goals, but would still like to step on an
IFBB pro stage as a lifetime natural athlete.
What you like most about
Bodybuilding?
The journey leading up to
a contest.
What you dislike most about
Bodybuilding?
The egos and the drugs.
I've never felt that I fit in at most bodybuilding shows,
but am still drawn to the sport.
What advice would you give other
bodybuilders?
If you haven't competed
yet, do it! If you're a seasoned competitor, choose shows
that may be above your head.
A little more about you...
I'm a nerd!
