Long Term Bodybuilding Ambitions

We are planning to return back to the UK , which will give me more opportunities to compete in the UK and aboard. There are many competitions that I would love to compete in, so this will keep me focus for a while, providing that we are back in the UK .

What you like most about Bodybuilding

It has instilled discipline into my life, and kept me focused on my goals, whether these are personal or life in general.

The confidence that I have gained from my training has been amazing, it has enhanced and transformed me to be a better individual to deal with the ups and downs of life.

I cannot imagine a world without bodybuilding, and look forward to my daily workouts from which I get a buzz and excitement of meeting my daily set targets.

Since I started training over 20 years ago, I have gained enormous knowledge of understanding about my body and mind, which has allowed me to help others to achieve their goals.

What you dislike most about Bodybuilding?

The preparation and commitment that you have to embrace for a period of time. This consequently impacts and isolates you from your family, setting you outside of the general life style.

What advice would you give other bodybuilders?

Make a plan, setting out your goals, ensuring that your targets are achievable, and realistic. The old saying ‘if you fail to plan, you plan to fail’, which I believe is very true.

Enjoy the journey and lifestyle of natural training, bearing in mind on maintaining a balanced life style. Always stay positive and believe in yourself that you can achieve your goals, don’t be influenced by the others who have negative views.

A little more about me...

I am married to a very supportive and loving family, my wife, ‘Karen’, and a wonderful 13 year son, ‘Mitchell’, plus our 4 year old boxer dog called ‘TYSON’. We are enjoying our time here in North Cyprus, but are longing to return back to the UK once we have sold our home here.

One of my many other interest, being Hot-Rods. I plan to build my own Hot-Rod once we return back to the UK , and help a close friend in his competitive drag racing season.

Another passion of mine, watching American Football, my favourite team being the Pittsburgh Steelers. Many years ago, 1984, I formed an American Football team in the UK , called the ‘Southend Sabres’. It was from this sport that I suffered my injury, which set me off into a new direction of weight training.

As a family we love to travel, so once back in the UK , we will start planning to visit distance relatives around the world, hopefully fitting in a competition at the same time, and meeting other bodybuilders.

I owe a big thanks to my family, who are my biggest fans. Due to their support, they have been the back bone and instrumental to my success, without them, I could not achieve my goals.
