Dave Grogan to Compete at the 2011
Yorton Cup Championships

(Washington, DC) Natural
Bodybuilding Champion David Grogan will be making his
final appearance as an active competitor at the 2011 OCB
Yorton Cup Championships in Washington, DC.
Grogan was originally
scheduled to make his last competitive appearance at the
2011 World Police and Fire Games Bodybuilding Competition
in New York City, but due to Hurricane Irene and
subsequent evacuation of the city, he was unable to do so.
Grogan has been a very
successful competitor for nearly 30 years now and, after
taking some time off from competing, has rededicated
himself to yet again prove that "Life DOES begin at 40"
as he retakes the stage shortly after his 45th birthday.
Grogan's successful Natural Bodybuilding career has
included impressive performances in contests all over
the country, including the Gold Medal at the 2001 World
Police and Fire Games. Grogan has never let Bodybuilding
politics get in the way of his competitive spirit as his
successful competitive career includes events held by
Musclemania, NGA, ANBC, NABF, OCB and NPC.
 Grogan
has never been one to let anything keep him from his
goals and excuses have never been an option for him. He
has successfully completed competition and dieting for a
number of competitions while juggling the demands of his
job and being a single father raising a daughter.
Now Grogan faces the most difficult challenge of all, he
has been diagnosed with a potentially serious heart
condition, but still plans to hit the stage on October
29th as he has promised to his family, friends and other
supporters.
Grogan is not only an
athlete, but a successful businessman in and out of the
Bodybuilding world, a former member of the U.S. Marine
Corps, and is now approaching 20 years of service with
the U.S. Marshal Service in Washington, DC.
Along with
all of his professional and competitive endeavors, Grogan also had time to promote the Nations
Capitol Musclemania & Fitness America Pageant and the
Capitol Classic Musclemania & Fitness America Pageant,
which were the most successful Natural Bodybuilding
events ever held in the Washington, DC area.
