Special Thanks:
The support we have had
for this show has been simply incredible and we have to
pay thanks to our wonderful sponsors, the management at
the Southport RSL (Scott, Paul and Helen), the ANB
executive committee and most importantly each and every
one of the amazing competitors who stepped on stage.
Considering the Asia Pacific was in fact a debut event
we exceeded over 120 high caliber competitors. A very
special thanks and congratulations to Ali Gascoine, as
she not only won the Overall Figure title she brought an
amazing team of competitors from New Zealand.
A very special thanks to
Obi Obadike for being our special guest at the event.
Obi is one of the finest male fitness models in the
world today and was happy to answer any questions
regarding health and fitness on the day of the event. We
will be working together on some major projects in the
near future to further promote health & fitness in
Australasia. Obi is a wealth of knowledge and will be
sharing that with our readers in an up and coming column
named "Ask Obi"
Prize pool:
Antonietta and I wanted to
make this show something special for both competitors
and audience a like. We imported world class
Sculpture/Trophies all the way from the USA as a token
of our appreciation to competitors. We presented cash
and prizes on behalf of Powerzone Nutrition and
Australian Natural Bodz magazine in excess of $10,000.
We want to work on building this for any future events
as we understand the amount of time and effort that goes
into preparing for an event like this.
National / International
Exposure:
We have thousands of fantastic images from the event
that will be featured in Australian Natural Bodz.
Numerous athletes will obtain full Star Profiles
including a full bio and images.
12 Sports Models will appear in the Natural Bodz
International Sports Model calendar due to be released
nationally towards the end of 2009. A very special
thanks to Robert Bell of Inspired Photography who took
some amazing cover images that will be appearing on
future editions of our magazine. Our goal is to provide
as much exposure as we can for natural athletes in
Australasia and we are very happy with what we have
achieved so far.
We are very proud to
announce that Australian Natural Bodz will soon launch
both in the United States and the United Kingdom, this
will provide international exposure for many
Australasian athletes. Look for the full contest report
by Sean Crossan in issue 6 of Australian Natural Bodz
Magazine.

The Future:
We have some very big plans for the rest of 2009 and
2010 will see some amazing opportunities for both
competitors and sponsors. Our goal is to promote this
amazing lifestyle to a larger audience and encourage
more newcomers into the industry.

The finals were video taped by Sonic Sight Video and
will be available in approximately
4-6 weeks.
Once again we would like to all competitors no matter
what your placing at the event. We did not get much of a
chance to sit and watch the show but we have had a look
over the images and you all looked amazing.
